Notebook Game
Publication
Notebook Game explores a forgotten form of childhood play from the early 2000s: games children invented in school notebooks, with their own rules, shops, currencies and maps. With almost no notebooks or records surviving, I turned to memory. Through 39 surveys and five interviews, I found that people who had never met remembered strikingly similar structures. The book rebuilds these memories into a notebook game anyone can play, with an acrylic cover of 3D-printed reliefs drawn from the research.
